Delhi - the capital of India, is a fascinating city with complexities and contradictions, beauty and dynamism, where the past co-exists with the present. Many dynasties ruled from here and the city is rich in the architecture of its monuments. Delhi is not only the present metropolis of India but also a Necropolis. Because of its location, being on the banks of the river Yamuna, many cities have risen and fallen over the last five millenia.

Day 2 : Delhi - Umaria - Train Over night - II tier Air-conditioned Coach with Bedding
Breakfast at the hotel.Morning proceed on a rapid tour of New Delhi, starting early morning.
The Qutab Minar, is a Tower of Victory built in the 12th century by Qutbuddin Aibak. Within its spacious courtyard stands the Iron Pillar, which dates back to the 4th century AD and bears a Sanskrit inscription in the Gupta style. The pillar has puzzled scientists, as its iron has not rusted in all these centuries. Visit India Gate, the memorial of the First World War and drive past Rashtrapathi Bhawan - the residence of the President of India, which is flanked by the houses of Parliament and the Government Secretariat buildings.Afternoon transfer to the Railway Station to board the train for Umaria. Day 3 : Umaria - Bandhavgarh - Appx 40 Kms Drive by Jeep - http://www.campmewar.com/
Arrive Umaria railway station at 0600 hrs. Meeting and assistance on arrival at Umaria Railway Station and transfer to the Forest Lodge in Bandhavgarh (45 Kms). On arrival check-in at the Jungle Resort.The density of the tiger population at Bandhavgarh is relatively high. The possibility of spotting Sloth Bear, Wild Boar, Leopard and Tiger is very good. The park is also densely populated with animals like the Chital (Spotted Deer), Sambhar, Barking Deer, Nilgai (Blue Bull), Chowsingha (Four Horned Antelope) and is rich in bird life.

The terrain is rocky, rising sharply from the swampy and densely forested valley. The finest of these hills is Bandhavgarh which is bounded by great cliffs and eroded rocks. The Bandhavgarh Fort, believed to be 2000 years old, stands at the highest point. There is a temple at the fort that can be visited by jeeps. Scattered throughout the park, particularly around the fort, are numerous caves containing shrines with ancient Sanskrit inscriptions. The ramparts of the fort provide a home for vultures, blue rock thrushes and crag martins.Dinner and overnight in Bandhavgarh

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at the Lodge. Morning and afternoon game drive into the sanctuary by Jeep.The Forest Department has devised an ingenuous system of tracking the tiger at this Park. Every day, early in the morning, elephants and their "Mahouts" (drivers) are sent out into the jungle, in search of the Tiger. Once it has been sighted, a radio message is flashed to the Forest Ranger, who in turn informs the visitors in their jeeps, who are then taken on elephant-back, into the bush, to see the elusive Tiger.

Day 05 - Bhandavgarh - Kanha Wild Life Sanctuary ( 250 Km, 06 hours ) - http://www.kiplingcamp.com/
Before departing Bandhavgarh, we'll have our last opportunity to partake in an early morning safari. We'll then continue on through spectacular countryside to Kanha National Park. Romanticized in the English classic, The Jungle Book, Rudyard Kipling based his tale on the wildlife of Kanha. Kanha inspired all those famous characters— Shere Khan the Tiger, Baloo the Bear, Bagheera the Panther, and the formidable Rock Python Kanha National Park is among the most incredible wildlife reserves in the world. It's one of the best places in the world to spot tigers in the wild. You will also find several other mammals, reptiles, and birds. Of special interest is the largest ox in the world, the gaur, and the central India species swamp deer. Bandhavgarh is a rich grassland Savannah jungle, the park has the highest density of tigers of any of India’s reserves, shelters a collection of fascinating ruins, and offer the chance of trekking through the jungle on elephant back. The core area of the park is fairly small with a fragile ecology, but it supports such animals as the Nilgai Blue Bull, Wild Boar, Jackal, Guar, Samber Deet and Porcupine, as well as many species of birds. The ramparts of the fort provide a home for vultures, Blue Rock Thrushes and Crag Martins. Elephants have been part of Bandhavgarh society for generations, reared, trained and cared for by mahawats and their families.

Kanha, 175 kms southeast of Jabalpur, is one of India’s largest national park and Asia's finest park. India’s one of the most successful conservation efforts of saving the Barasingha (Swamp Deer) was done here. Kanha National Park covers an area of 1945 sq kms including a core zone of 940 sq kms. The setting of Kipling’s ‘Jungle Book’, it is a beautiful area of forest and lightly wooded grassland with many streams and rivers. It is the home of a variety of animals including tiger, panther, and many species of deer, wild pig, bison, a variety of monkeys and other animals besides some 200 species of birds. It is also part of ‘Project Tiger,’ one of India’s most important and successful conservation efforts.

Day 09 - Early morning speand all day to explore the wild life with rickshaw ride in sanctuary bird watching Bharatpur is again a Bird Sanctuary , board train Jan Shatabdti Express 2060 Ex Bharatpur - Ranthambhore at 1530 Hrs & Arrive Ranthambhore at 1800 Hrs On arrival, transfer to the Jungle Resort. Ranthambore National Park nears the town of Sawai Madhopur, midway between Bharatpur and Kota. The park is one of the prime examples of Project Tiger’s conservation efforts in Rajasthan. The entire area is laid out over rocky hills and grasslands. A number of rivers pass through forming several lakes haunted by crocodiles and hundred of waterbirds. Besides the roaming tigers, the park has a large population of wild boars, deer’s and reptiles. Drive to Corbett National Park - 380 Kms Morning we drive for 6 hours to Corbett National Park, based at Ramnagar, 250 km northeast of Delhi and 63 km southwest of Nainital, is one of India’s premier wildlife reserves. On arrival, check in to the Jungle Resort. Corbett is most famous for its large cats and in particular the tiger - this was the first designated Project Tiger Reserve in 1973. The park holds a great assortment of other animals. Large elephant herds have been confined within its boundaries since the construction of the Ramganga Reservoir blocked migratory routes. The best place to see them is around the picturesque Dhikala camp near the reservoir. The reservoir shelters populations of gharial, a long-snouted, fish eating crocodile, and maggar, a large marsh crocodile and other reptiles. The park has also large population of Jackals, Wild boars, Chitals spotted deer, Hog deer and the larger Sambars antelopes. Afternoon we visit to the Wildlife Park on jeeps.
