the Terai region of Nepal, with game viewing of Tiger and other
animals at Bardia National Park, a short visit to Chitwan and an
ascent on lower Himalayas serpentine roads to reach Kathmandu. After
Kathmandu its time to realise what altitude gain can do to life
& body, mind & soul. Once acclimatised to riding your motorbike
on this tough terrain, how easy it is to traverse the slow paced
life on the roof of the world, with descend into the Bramhaputra
valley after paying a tribute at the base camp of Mount Everest.

- Haridwar is an important pilgrimage town for Hindus with many
ashrams and temples. The famous pop group Beatles lived in the Meditation
Center here for some time in the 1960s. People come to Haridwar
to perform the last rites of their loved ones and to offer prayers
in memory of their forefathers. Visit temples and attend prayers
at Har Ki Paudi in the evening amidst the chanting of the mantras
& sermons of the priest.

09 April Tue - Day 03 – Rishikesh – Kausani –
300 Kms The ride is uphill following the bank of river Ganges earlier
the trail is mainly on the highway, latter we bifurcate A Challenging
day of ride long distance & isolated roads in initial stretch
we ride into the region land of Corbett (Kumaon) from the Abode
of Gods (Garwhal) to arrive at Kausani. O/Nt

10 April Wed - Day 04 – Kausani – Nainital –
Almora - Mukteshwar - Nainital - 150 Kms. – Kausani hold’s
the geographically location of encompassing the most macro view
of the Himalayas range vast expanse from any where this is the only
place from where you can have the best possible view of the satellite
covered snow covered peaks Subject to your Early rise & wake
up call & clear weather! After sightseeing drive to Almora.
The Almora district of Kumaon is definitely the cultural capital
of the region. The town of Almora is believed to have come up on
the Kashaya Hill, believed to have been the scenic abode of Lord
Vishnu. Almora is very famous for its woollen shawls and brass products.
Drive to Mukteshwar after lunch. The drive today is through a thickly
wooded forest with a majestic view of the Himalayas - A tranquil
place for relaxing and driving. On a moonlit night you can catch
a glimpse of the sparkling town of Almora flanked by snow clad peaks.
After sightseeing drive to Nainital. Nainital is a picturesque hill
station situated in the heart of Kumaon Himalayas. The town gets
its name from the Goddess Naina Devi, who is the presiding Goddess
of Lakes in the region. Nainital is set around the shores of a willow-fringed
lake with tiny villages perched on the hillside. Overnight

11 April Thurs - Day 05 – Nainital – Border Crossing
Mohindernagar –
As we descend down hill from Nainital to the flat stretch of plains
of Terrai region & proceed ahead to the Sharda River Barrage,
that is the border crossing between India & Nepal, Emigration
& Immigration check out & payment of local road taxes with
issue of local number plates to have official, authority to ride
into Nepal & latter part we check into small basic clean Hotel
across the border for overnight Halt.

12 April Fri -Day 06 - Mohiner Nagar - Royal Bardia National Park.
- Appx 300 Kms
Start early, as early as 0600 Hrs to reach the Police check post
on the India - Nepal Border. After registration of the bikes etc
we start our 220 Kms ride to Royal Bardia Sanctuary. It’s
a pleasant ride along the well-maintained Indo-Nepal Friendship

13 April Sat - Day 07: Bardia - Chitwan National Park - 300 Kms
After Early morning sight seeing of Bardia on elephant back we will
start our ride to Chitwan National Park. The Drive From Royal Bardia
National Park to Chit wan is parallel to the Himalayan range - we
shall be riding uphill & down hill along the foothill ranges.
The ride is pleasant in the evergreen vegetation to reach the Royal

14 April Sat -Day 08: Chit wan - Kathmandu - 200 Kms.
After early morning Game viewing we take on the serpentine roads
of the Lower Himalayas to reach Pokhara by late afternoon. The ride
is ideally on metalled highway but a few kms do trouble as the roads
may be under repairs. The final 30 Kms is a steep ascent with some
real good hairpin bends bringing us into the Valley of Kathmandu.
