Attractions of the Discover Tibet Tour:

• Potala Palace - a vast white and ochre fortress that used to be the residence of H.H the Dalai Lama and the seat of Tibetan Government.
• Jokhang Temple - the spiritual heart of Lhasa
• Various Monasteries: Sera Monastery, Tsurphu Monastery, Drepung Monastery,Ganden Monastery
• Gyantse - Gyantse Kumbum - This giant stupa rises over four symmetrical floors, and a clockwise route spirals up through them passing through eight chapels. Each chapel has a vast collection of wall murals depicting various Tibetan deities.
• Xigatse - the second largest town in Tibet and an important trading and administrative
  centre. We will visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama
• Tsedang - A Spectacular Drive
• Nyingchi - Lamaling Monastery
• At leisure in Lhasa in the evenings to explore the nightlife and just discover some aspects we as tour operators probably don't show you on a guided tour.

Suggested Itinerary:

Day 01 : Fly to Gonggar Airport in Tibet and Drive to Lhasa - 100 Kms(2 hrs).
Day 02 : Visit Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple,Barkhor street.
Day03 Visit Drepung Monastery and Sera monastery
Day 04 Visit Ganden monastery and Norbulingka - summer palace of the Dalai Lama.
Day 05 : Drive 290 Kms (6 hrs) to Gyantse ( 3900 M), a typical Tibetan town with an important monastery and chorten.
Day 06 : Visit Kimbum an drive on 90 Kms (2.5 hrs) to Xigatse (3800 M), the capital of rear Tibet. Visit the Tashilhunpo Monastery, site of the Panchen Lama.
Day 07 : Drive 330kms (7 hrs) from Xigatse to Tsedang
Day 08 : Drive 35kms to Samye monastery, after visiting, drive 35kms back to Tsedang for overnight
Day 09 Drive to Langxian – 230 Kms (5 hrs)
Day 10 Drive 259 kms to Nyingchi visit Lamaling Monastery
Day 11 Drive 480 to Lhasa via Lake Basongtso
Day 12 Early morning drive to Gonggar Airport and fly to Kathmandu for onward destination (1.5 hrs).
