be changed in tourist areas and big cities. There are no restrictions
on the amount of foreign currency or travellers' cheques a tourist
may import, provided a Declaration Form is completed on arrival by

guests and as per govt rules tours have to be all inclusive, organised
through a Government recognised Tour operator.
T- Shirts - It is improper to wear T-shirts, its considered underwear.
Wearing T Shirts is quite acceptable for both men and women. But Ladies
should avoid tight T Shirts, strapless dresses or very short skirts,
and avoid going Bra less if wearing a sheer dress or shirt. A lot of
tourists do, but it just makes you more open to stares and that is
horrible. Ideal clothes are loose cotton tops/T Shirts and pants, for
both men and women. It will keep you cool and protect you from the
hot sun. And don't forget to take a few caps/hats along because the
sun can be very strong during the day.
Leather - It is unacceptable to wear leather clothes and accessories
in India.
Not at all! India does revere cows as Holy, but that does not mean leather
is not worn. In fact most young Indians now wear leather jackets, trousers
and gloves.
